Ed is a Consultant Solicitor with over a decade's experience in the legal profession. He qualified as a solicitor in 2009 after training with a Top 100 UK Firm and spent several years in private practice as a civil litigator. Ed became a Consultant towards the end of 2017 after training into a more diverse range of legal areas and building up his own client base. He is based in the North West of England near Liverpool, but services clients nationwide.
Ed advises clients on Company, Commercial and Employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious. He has a particular interest in IT contracts and data protection in light of the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation in May 2018 and advises commercial clients on updating their procedures and contracts in response to the new regulatory regime.
Ed's key to success is Benjamin Franklin's motto, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." His years as a litigator witnessing first hand "the worst case scenario" when things go wrong has instilled him with a sense of foresight in how to avoid disputes from the outset by taking effective measures to prevent problems arising in future.
